How to Build Step-Up Switching Regulator 12 Volt to 24 Volt 1 Ampere using LM2535

elcoHow. - There are two kind of switching regulator that we find now these are step down and step-up switching regulator. Step down switching regulator will switch or convert from higher dc voltage to lower dc voltage, and step-up switching regulator will switch or convert from lower dc voltage to higher dc voltage.


In this article we will give you guidance to build Step-Up Switching Regulator 12 Volt to 24 Volt 1 Ampere using LM2535. The main component in this project is LM2335 IC as ADJ regulator manufactured by Texas Instruments. Using this IC will make external component simply and can control the output voltage by defining the feedback resistors. This IC also able to withstand 3A maximum current and 65V maximum voltage. Switching frequency is defined by internal oscillator and it's fixed at 100KHz.


1. Please prepare the circuit schematic of Step-Up Switching Regulator 12 Volt to 24 Volt 1 Ampere using LM2535. This schematic is one kind of this project from electronics-lab.

2. Now you can continue to design PCB layout of this circuit using PCB design software. You can choose many PCB layout software free or purchased.


3. Realize your PCB layout design into manufactured PCB. You can make PCB layout your self or using professional PCB maker. 



4. Install all component to the PCB layout manufacture and soldering all component to PCB. Please caution to insert semiconductor component. See the data sheet like in IC LM2335.

5. The last you can test your project. Your project can work properly or no.
